One of the biggest decisions you will make on the pathway to a commercial pilot licence is whether to train modularly or through an integrated programme. Both routes lead to the same licence — but the experience, cost and timeline differ significantly.
Modular Training
Modular training lets you complete each licence and rating one step at a time: PPL first, then Night Rating, hour building, Instrument Rating, Multi-Engine and finally CPL. It is flexible, generally cheaper, and lets you work alongside training to fund each stage.
Integrated Training
Integrated training is a full-time, structured programme delivered by a single Approved Training Organisation. It is faster — often around 18 months — but considerably more expensive and requires your full-time commitment.
Which is right for you?
Choose modular if you need flexibility, are funding training yourself, or want to spread the cost. Choose integrated if you can commit full-time, want the fastest route, and your budget allows it.
